Cos’è il coaching?

Il Coaching è un rapporto di Partnership che si crea tra il Coach e il Cliente o Coachee dove ci sono dei ruoli definiti.

Il coach ha un metodo e il coachee ha una situazione da risolvere. Attraverso l’espressione di quello che è il suo vissuto coachee riceve l’aiuto del Coach a pensare in maniera più evoluta, che concentra l’attenzione sulla consapevolezza individuale.

Quello che concretamente fa un coach si può identificare in quattro punti essenziali:

  1. Ascoltare con attenzione senza mai interrompere
  2. incoraggiare sempre a usare le migliori capacità dell’individuo
  3. fare domande c.d. potenti che aiutano le persone ad uscire dal proprio, a volte limitato, punto di vista e vedere la situazione con occhi nuovi
  4. fornire dei feed-back motivati per aiutare il Coachee a fare passi avanti.

 

Quello che non fa un coach è dare consigli; non è un consulente ma è un Allenatore con cui creare una relazione alla pari.

Il Coach aiuta le persone a trovare un obiettivo specifico e concreto che fa emergere dall’individuo le risorse per agire e migliorare la propria vita. Il coaching prevede una concentrazione su quello che è possibile fare oggi piuttosto che un’analisi approfondita del passato, con la convinzione che ciò che puoi fare oggi è infinitamente più importante di ciò che non hai fatto ieri.

Il Coaching, inoltre, implica una responsabilità sia da parte del Coach che da parte del Coachee.

Il Coach è responsabile del metodo e il Coachee dei contenuti. Il percorso di Coaching prevede l’individuazione di un obiettivo da risolvere e un piano di azione da mettere in pratica.

Questo implica tutta una serie di azioni che il Coachee si deve impegnare a svolgere.
